Our lead Bible teacher, Joe, is… interesting. He spent his childhood in a foreign country while his parents were missionaries, his young adulthood in a touring punk-rock band, and almost two decades in ministry of some kind… along with a handful of seasonal (and often, unusual) part-time jobs ranging from being the personal assistant to a rather eccentric jazz music agent to holding an international record for fastest “Walmart Associate of the Month” award (and the placard to prove it).
But his favorite work is researching the Bible and sharing what he finds. Whether preaching to crowds or sitting in a small setting over a good beverage, Joe loves exploring the Bible and sharing how Jesus transforms everything. In fact, the only thing better than his passionate but approachable style of speaking is how often he points out something unexpected or often-missed in Scripture. And he’s kinda funny, too.
Joe has his undergraduate in Communication, a graduate degree in Theology, and is working on his ThD in Theology. He lives here in Castle Rock with his favorite people in the whole world: his wife and kids. Most of all, Joe loves Jesus… and it shows.
